I felt the need to undo yesterday's non-work-appropriate outfit and went with a few of my favorites: red pencil skirt, print top, funky necklace. But I think the real star of the show is my shoes! Remember these? I finally got around to taking them to my shoe guy and he worked crazy magic on them - basically they look brand new. I have no idea how he does it but I am so grateful that he does. I think I paid $30 for them on eBay plus $15 to get them fixed up, so $45 for a pair of $170 shoes? Not bad!
So here goes:
And the Frye Lisas:
top: (Target) Merona Cheetah-print
skirt: Ann Taylor (similar)
necklace: Banana Republic (similar)
shoes: Frye Lisa (similar)
bag: Marc by Marc Jacobs Hillier
As usual you look fabu. I think I might have to steal this outfit. It's perfect for pre-game day in this town without looking like I'm trying too hard. I promise I'm not going all Single White Female on you, despite all evidence to the contrary. I figure we live so far away from each other that it certainly won't matter if we have some of the same outfits. And hey, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery!
ReplyDeletegotta love the shoe repair man! With everything being so disposable these days, I don't know how they stay in business. So worth it to spiff up older shoes!
ReplyDeleteYou look beautiful and those shoes are fantastic! I love the pencil skirt. Its color is so pretty and shape so flattering! Great choice to restore the shoes!
ReplyDeleteThanks, y'all!
ReplyDeleteMQ, steal away. I think this look would be great on you.
