Full disclosure: The bag? Not mine. My friend Nina was nice enough to lend it to me to try on for size. I've been wanting a "speedy" type bag for a long time and she finally convinced me that maybe what I need is an actual Speedy, not something similar that doesn't quite shape up. Hence, I am starting to sell off some things so I can save towards a vintage LV epi Speedy. (Maybe.)
It's not for everyone, the handheld satchel, and I wasn't 100% sure it was for me, but dang, it's growing on me:
bag: LV Epi Speedy (similar)
breton top: Boden (similar)
skirt: Sematiks (similar)
boots: Camper (similar)
trench: Banana Republic (similar)
It looks great on you! How do you feel without a shoulder strap? I have a hard time functioning if both of my hands aren't free.
ReplyDeleteYou look fantastic and the Speedy fits right in!
ReplyDeleteIt is such a classic. I have always wanted one but after buying and soon selling my Venetia I realized that I am a shoulder-strap gal. Clumsiness is compounded when I have one less hand to use to catch myself.
elegant and chic,lovely outfit!xoxo
ReplyDeleteHonestly, I don't mind a hand-held bag as long as I'm not doing something like shopping, where I need both hands free. Have use of this bag for a week has really made me want one more.
ReplyDeleteI read "LV Speedy" and I thought you meant those bags with all the little letters all over it. I'm not so crazy about those. But this? Wow. Your friend's bag is gorgeous. I love that the punched-up color on a traditional shape. It seems very "Adrien". I think the shape works really well with your style, too. But LV bag prices make me a little dizzy!
ReplyDeleteSorry, I should have included "epi" in there! I'm not a fan of logo bags, but the leather line is gorgeous. Also, if I buy one it will most definitely be vintage, as in, second hand.
ReplyDeleteThis whole looks is so chic, so classic. I hope you get a red one...go for it.
ReplyDeleteI love you, and your style, but this bag looks like a red mailbox to me.
ReplyDeleteHa! Yeah, it's not for everyone. Nina's husband says it looks like a tiny barn.
ReplyDeleteThat is a very chic outfit and the bag fits perfectly!
