I like this dress a lot. Here's how I wore it at the end of summer and back in early spring when I first bought it. It's pretty versatile as far as season goes and keep trying to do something a little different with it, but I think this is kind of a fail:
Eh, yeah. I am okay with the belting-a-cardigan-thing but not when it makes me look all puffy. I changed it up and was much happier this way:
Dress: Velvet (similar)
belt: NY and Co. (similar)
cardigan: Gap (similar)
boots: Camper (similar)
bag: Marc by Marc Jacobs (similar)
I am hoping that this belting craze doesn't go by the wayside RIGHT WHEN I decide to try it with any degree of success.
ReplyDeleteIt looks great ON the dress. Jeesh, I keep buying belts and I never wear them. Wide ones slide up and make me sweat underneath of them in the summer. Lord help you if you don't have belt loops, they're always turning around... but they really tie an outfit together!
ReplyDeleteI am the same! I keep buying belts, trying them on, and then never making it out the door with one of the darn things on. I think I want waist definition, but then they feel so constrictive, like a boa encircling my waist. Well maybe not that bad. Seeing Adrien with her cute skinny belt makes me want to buy one like that. Nice outfit Adrien! Love the belt on the dress. Really ties the whole look together. Sigh.
