Adrien: More pants. Less excitement.

I keep wearing these pants thinking they'll magically be slouchy-chic but they just continue to be The World's Blandest Gap Khakis. I actually like the outfit as a whole but as usual when I try for something casual I end up feeling crumbled and sloppy by the end of the day. (And my camera is apparently only doing blurry these days, my apologies.)

  1. See, I love this outfit. However, I know EXACTLY what you speak of regarding feeling bland and rumpled.

I had a pair of khaki pants that, despite fitting well, I eventually had to just give away. They always made me feel like I should be working at Target.

    1. This pretty much sums up my feeling about khaki pants perfectly. Also, I am starting to learn that I just can't do perfectly rumpled and slouchy. I just look chubby and sloppy.

That said, you look cute A.

    2. Thanks you guys. I actually like the outfit in the photos, but felt kinda schlubby wearing it.

  2. (Okay. I see now that you actually didn't use the word "bland." Um, that's how *I* feel when I wear khakis. Didn't mean to put words in your mouth.)

  3. I had those EXACT pants and gave them away a few months ago. I just couldn't make them work at all without feeling bland and sloppy and kind of mom-like (and I am a mom, so nothing against moms here). The commenter above who said she feels like she should be working at Target??? Nailed it.

  4. i agree that those are not Incredibly Exciting pants, but some days you just need easy casual outfits, and this fits the bill. Off topic, but you have amazing hair-- it suits you perfectly. Can you do a post on your hair?

    1. Thanks! I've not considered that, but maybe I should? Hmm.
