I am so distracted by wanting to scream, "Marianne! Put down your jacket, for Pete's sake!" That I can't even really get into the outfit details here. Look at me struggling with what to do with my hands here. Ridiculous.
Okay, fine. Regardless of my awkward burden, I quite like this outfit. There are a lot of colors happening, but I think they work together. I've forgotten how much I love these simple cobalt blue wedges.
Also, I got a haircut! Woo. Took off about three inches, which was sorely needed.
I'm wondering, what do you think of the green/another green/coral/blue/another blue/metallic combo I've got going on here? Too much or just right? Or are you also distracted by me not knowing what to do with my jacket in every picture? Do tell.
dress: Maggie London (another ridiculously cute leaf printed Maggie London dress and similar cut here)
necklace: anthropologie Double Torsade (Lucky Brand necklace in coral here)
shoes: Ralph Lauren (divine Kate Spade cobalt wedge)
jacket: Gap (classic Old Navy denim jacket here for under $35!)
bag: Marc by Marc Jacobs "Mag Bag" in fool's gold (similar)
I love that dress, so gorgeous. jacket does not distract me at all.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! The dress was a lucky (and super cheap) consignment find, I love it!
DeleteThe necklace looks more red and pink in the picture so I do think it seems a bit much. However, if you wore the jacket (hey! that would also solve the problem of -what- to do with your jacket! :D), that would change everything. You'd have the blue tie-in with the shoes, then the coral surprise at your neck. What I'm saying makes sense in my head if not in type.
ReplyDeleteI love your outside pictures, the scenery is beautiful. Do you live in an enchanted forest?
Ha! Maybe not enchanted, though I do live in the woods on a steep hill. I'm going to try and take more of my photos outside, I prefer it as well. Sometimes it's too early when I leave for work, though.
DeleteMarianne, you maaaay have already said this before, but what hair products do you use? I have similar hair texture to you but mine is much, much frizzier! (I did read your attempt with Keratin with great interest, haha, since I was wondering if it would make my curls sleek. Thank to you, I saved money on that!)
ReplyDeleteAlso, ever since my hairdresser moved ACROSS THE COUNTRY I've been afraid to have my hair cut. So I've gone over a year without a cut. What do you tell your hairperson to do? Yours looks so cute!
Sorry this has nothing to do with your outfit. (Which is cute)
~A fellow curly haired person
Hey Allison! You are too sweet. I've been using the Ouidad Climate Control shampoo, conditioner, and gel (http://www.amazon.com/Ouidad-Climate-Control-Humidity-Unisex/dp/B0001Y74VS/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1337780729&sr=8-1) and I can't say enough great things about it. Highly, highly recommend, and don't bother with the keratin!
DeleteDisagree with Tonia--the colors are great. And your hair looks great!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much!
DeleteOh that is SUCH a nice dress!
