A reader asked if I could post an outfit with the
BP Trolley ankle boots I bought recently and yes! Yes I can. I'm also wearing my new
DVF coat that Nina found me this summer and I love it so so much. It's really fantastic. The only downside is that it has a belt but no belt loops so I'm pretty much going to lose it immediately. (Right now it's shoved in my bag so yeah, this is not going to end well.)
I am happy to report that the boots are working out great. They are moderately comfortable and I did end up sizing up a half size. Check it:

Very cute coat. If you can get it to me (and can part with it long enough) I bet M or I could sew the belt to the back of the coat.
ReplyDeleteAw, thanks, but if I sewed it on I couldn't wear the coat open. I might hit up M for some other sewing though!
DeleteI think the jacket looks great without the belt, even when closed.
ReplyDeleteThanks! That's probably how I'll end up wearing it. The belt can stay home.
DeleteI totally agree - lose the belt. The coat looks more sophistocated without it.
Deletecute boots- and I love the 'moderately comfortable' note...sometimes that's the best we can hope for!!
ReplyDeleteYAYYYY!! They are really cute! Thank you for the post :)
ReplyDeleteOf course! You'll see more of those boots, too. I like 'em.
DeleteI had a similar belt/coat situation and I safety pinned it to the back seam-- so when untied it's open and dangling (belt loop having style), un-doable, and less lose-able.
ReplyDeleteSee what I did there, I wrote a little poem.
