So Many Questions.
A: So, I was completely convinced my Urban Decay foundation brush was a total waste of money but then I used it to apply my sample of NARS tinted moisturizer and it looks REALLY GOOD.
M: STOP IT. I DO NOT WANT TO BUY A FOUNDATION BRUSH DO I NEED ONE?
A: YES. NO. I HAVE NO IDEA.
M: Here's something that I was pondering this morning, do I need a face primer AND eyelid primer? I use both, but MUST I?
A: I always use eyelid primer but only use face primer sometimes because I am not sure about all the silicone they've been putting in everything. Should that be on my face? I don't know.
M: I HAVE AN IDEA.
A: OH MY GOD GOOD.
M: Okay. I will dial down the caps-ness. But my friend Claire the super fahncy makeup artist? Let's ask her ALL THE PRODUCT QUESTIONS (sorry).
A: She will tell us ALL THE THINGS! (I can't stop with the caps. I can't.)
M: YES! Okay, readers, Adrien and I obviously have LOTS OF QUESTIONS ALL CAPS, but what about you? Hit us with your pressing makeup-related product questions (I don't know if we can manage technique stuff), and we will force Claire to share all her makeup-artist secrets. Deal?
A: DO IT FOR SCIENCE, YOU GUYS.
M: DOOOOO IIIIIIIITTTTTTT.
I just need her to tell me the best products to get my eyebrows to look decent, or even nice. Currently, they're mostly non-existant and I use a Rimmel eyebrow pencil (because I'm cheap and don't want to spend $$$ on something that won't work).
ReplyDeleteAlso, I love your convos.
Mascara for oily eyes. I swore alligence to Revlon colorstay lash tint and of course it's discontinued. What is the magic cocktail? Thanks for handling the world's pressing problems.
ReplyDeleteI need to know the absolute best eye shadows for sensitive eyes.
ReplyDeleteI have eczema and everything turns my eyelids red, scaly and puffy. It's awful! Same thing for eyeliner. Sometimes MAC works for me and sometimes it doesn't. It might depend on the color. Are certain colors more likely to trigger sensitive skin reactions? I usually stay in the brown and earth tone families, sometimes grays. I once tried to go wild and try on some purples and my eyes blew up. Help! I don't want to look like some all-natural, hippy with no eye makeup!
Thanks in advance,
Scaly Lizard Eyes
Really protective sunscreen that doesn't make you look all ghostly?
ReplyDeleteMaybe this is something everyone else knows already but what is the difference between BB cream and tinted moisturizer??
ReplyDeleteEyelash Tinting: for or against? It's a bit of a non-issue for me since it's against the law in my state, but I had it done in the UK once and it looked sooooo good. It looked the way that I always think mascare look except that I suck at putting on mascara. So is it actually dangerous to do regularly? If I did would I die a premature death from eye cancer? I'd like to know more before I begin lobbying my state legislature on this pressing issue.
ReplyDeleteSarah M - I am for it, and I sure hope it's not going to cause eye cancer! I have nice eye lashes, but they are lighter at the ends, so w/o mascara they look shorter than they are. I do the tinting in the summer, or before a vacation, so I can do a quick curl and go w/o mascara. Looks fantastic!
DeleteSunscreen makes me break out soooo much. I do NOT have sensitive or zitty skin normally, but sunscreen is evil to me. Is it possible I am allergic to all sunscreen on my face? I've tried all the baby sunscreens, sensitive skin sunscreens, and oil free ones that are available at Target. All the same result: clogged pores, white heads (!), ick. If I splurge on a natural, expensive, fancy brand, will it be legit better, or am I doomed to either wrinkles or zits? Help me.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I share the face primer question. Always use lid primer but scared face primers will look weird or cause breakouts/skin weirdness.
dark circles under the eye....I can look great @ 7am, but by Noon - like a vampire!! tips :)
ReplyDeleteProduct recommendations please...
ReplyDelete1. under eye moisturizer that will moisturize all day (Is that possible?)
2. covering dark under eye circles (genetic)
3. facial cleanser that is effective but gentle
4. day moisturizer for whole face, night moisturizer
5. Is the Clarisonic cleansing brush really bad for skin in the long term?
Clarisonic? Good, bad? Worth it?
ReplyDeleteDoes setting spray really work or is it a placebo effect?
How how hooooow can I get my pores to not be clogged? I don't really get breakouts, per se...just clogs. so. many. clogs.
Best mascara EVOR?
What's the deal with all the toners, serums, exfoliants, and makeup primers out there? Does one really need all that, especially for plain ol' skin that doesn't really lean toward super oily or super dry? what do they actually do? Which ones are the best, and which are just hype?
ReplyDeleteUnder eye concealer over or under foundation? I've had make up folks tell me both ways!
ReplyDeleteNo matter what I do, I get racoon eyes! How do I make my mascara stay put? I used things under my eyes (touche eclat) but no one can tell me how to keep my mascara on. I usually use Great Lash but doesn't seem to matter what I use....
ReplyDeleteWhat does one do about make up settling in under/around the eyes? I'm 31 and not super wrinkly by any means but I feel like stuff settles in around my eyes and accentuates what wrinkles I do have. I use a primer but is there something I need to be using in addition to that?
