Review: Peter Thomas Roth Un-Wrinkle Peel Pads.

Every now and then you throw money at a product that makes a lot of bold claims:

  • Tighter pores!
  • Clearer skin!
  • Improves the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and uneven skintone!
  • Leaves skin soft, smooth, firm, and revitalized!

Will it also do my taxes? Take me out for a nice dinner? Scrape ice off my windshield? PROBABLY NOT. But, every now and then you throw money at a product that makes a lot of bold claims and... delivers. Seriously! I'm always surprised because I generally just expect products to disappoint me. Not so with the Peter Thomas Roth Un-Wrinkle Peel Pads
I still won't scrape your windshield.

Years ago I tried them and remember being really impressed, but for some reason when I ran out I didn't buy more and then I forgot all about them. Lately my skin has been looking it's wintertime worst and until I can find time/funds to schedule a spa peel, I need to do SOMETHING. I was browsing around Sephora's site and stumbled across this package deal and was pretty impressed. For only a few bucks more than the cost of the 60 count pads, I also get a bunch of other PTR products to try.

The jury is still out on the other products, but I've used the Un-Wrinkle Peel Pads twice and I can SEE a difference. My skin has a bit of a glow and overall just looks...better. Smoother, more hydrated, less fine lines. If you're tempted but the cost seems a bit high, here's a miserly tip - the pads are big enough that you can cut them in half and still get enough product slapped up on your face. That turns your 60 pads into 120. You're welcome.

So, I bought this kit (ahem, 4% back on eBates) and threw in one of these so I could get free shipping. And don't forget to check the weekly specials page to get a bonus sample thingy!

  1. Thank you for the review! Now I'm seriously considering a trip to Sephora... What sort of skin type do you have?

    1. Dehydrated combination skin that still likes to break out on occasion. It's delightful.

    2. Yep, sounds familiar. Add in a nose that never seems clear of blackheads, and I would love to find something to help with all of it. This sounds like a reasonable bet!

  3. I cut mine into quarters... I have so many that they have lasted over a year! The bad news: they seem to be losing their punch. I'd recommend using them within a year to get the full efficacy.

  4. Hmmm, your skin sounds like mine in the response above. Now you've done it, I've gone off and bought this kit. Hope to report back on loving it!
