Marianne: Close, but...not quite.

First off, go ahead and go to anthropologie and pick up a couple of these shirts. I bought them in both colors--they are already under $30, and with my birthday discount I paid $24 apiece. They are the softest, gauziest, most dreamy lightweight cotton, honestly more comfortable than a t-shirt in hot weather (SO cute with shorts!), and adorable patterns--plus it is SO good with that Miz Mooz green. Go get you one. I'll wait.
And now, lets move on to the jeans. These are the Pilcro crops that I bought off of eBay and I am just so TORN on them. On the one hand, super comfortable, flattering (I think?), and the denim is not see-through at all. But the loose crop cut...I don't know. Sometimes I think it's along these lines, very modern, and others I feel a bit Suburban Mom (not that there's anything wrong with that). What do you guys think?
Either way, this shirt. It's good, just run along and buy a couple and you can thank me later.

  1. I like the pants...I think I don't like the shape of the shirt with those pants. Cute, just not together :)

  2. I had crops like that, but I had them taken in so that they were a straight leg. I think straight legs (not necessarily skinny) crops are more flattering than flared crops like these.

  3. I got those, too, in the coral color and was wondering the exact same thing: should I have the flare taken out. Since I'm so short they it at just above my ankle so I don't mind it entirely...just on the fence. This comment is rated as UNHELPFUL.

  4. Never mind the clothes, your hair looks more beautiful than usual. I'm jealous :/

  5. I am always in danger of falling off the cliff into Suburban Mom, but I wouldn't necessarily have pegged those Nordstrom Capris as such; and in any case, I just think your outfit (crops included) looks super stylish and cute!

  6. How do the jeans look with flats? I think that's how I would wear them, and then they look more like true ankle pants vs crops. (read: modern vs suburbia). Let's see them with some ballet flats! Or smoking slippers! (PS: suburban moms are way more stylish than they used to be. And don't worry, you're not headed toward What Not to Wear anytime soon. PPS: That show was canceled and I still miss it.)

  7. I bought this top in pink on a whim after reading your recommendation. Totally outside my usual look. I don't do florals. I don't do pink. I don't like button-down shirts. But...I could not love it more! It IS perfect. You were right!
