So needy, Sephora. Anyway, sometimes I just like to put things in there for later consideration, you know? Here’s what’s hanging out right now:
CLINIQUE Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm |
This cleansing balm has a cult following and I am kind of over my DHC cleansing oil. It's fine, but I want to try the balm and see if it's really as amazing as everyone thinks it is. I'm so fickle.
Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes |
Marianne has been using this Tarte mascara and her lashes look incredible. I'm hoping if I use it my lashes will also look incredible but I think she just has incredible lashes to start with and what can you do.
Shiseido Urban Environment Tinted UV Protector |
I'm going to start in on a regimen soon that includes a retinol product, so I thought I should get more serious about my sunscreen. This one by Shiseido gets good reviews, though I do remember a commenter last summer who recommended some interesting Japanese sunscreens. I can't find the post, so if you're reading this, link me again, please!
Benefit Erase Paste |
I have a sample of Benefit Erase Paste that I recently started using again and this stuff is really quite nice for dark circles. Why have I never just bought it? I should just buy it. I am a concealer junkie, y'all.
That's it! If you have opinions on this stuff please to comment.
I have tried that Tarte mascara and it makes my lashes look amazing.
ReplyDeleteNot so amazing? It's not waterproof and makes a mess when rain, snow, sweat, my general facial greasiness happens.
My sister swear by it and has no problems with it, though.
Oooh! I just did a quick google search and apparently there is a waterproof version called Lights, Camera, Splashes.
ReplyDeleteOff to Sephora.com to order!
Hooray!
DeleteLOVE erase paste. A little goes a long way so it lasts forever.
ReplyDelete"This stresses Sephora right out and they send me passive-aggresive emails."
ReplyDeleteThis so much. Also pop-ups asking for my email... when I'm already on your site right now! It's like going to see your mum and her saying, "You never visit." I'm right here! Calm down, mum/stores.
Japanese sunscreens....was it me? I think I suggested the Biore pink sport one; but you thought it would be too dry? (and indeed, in winter, it would be, even for a non-dry person- it's one of those sweat-proof summer one ones)
ReplyDeletehonestly they're all pretty good-you can't even compare them to US sunscreens, they're just not the same at all.
And in a way, if it's not summer and you're not exposed in that way, you don't need a sunscreen-sunscreen; just start looking into Korean and Japanese bb and ccs creams and foundations and powders- they ALL have spf- and serious spf too ( I just bought a Missha ccbb cream (yup) and Missha cashmere style loose powder- beautiful, silky, pore-masking, non-drying, gorgeous- I bought it for all that- then I saw it had an SPF of 45!)
Anyway, what's your skin type again? I'll do a little research for you
Thanks! I think it was Biore and they all had too much alcohol, which is a bummer. My skin is pretty dry and I'm going to be using retinol, so I need a good SPF all the time, pretty much.
Deleteok, noted, I'll take a look around and see if anything interesting/pertinant pops up and will keep you posted :)
DeleteWow, thank you so much! I feel like I should re-post this all in a blog entry (with your permission) just so your research doesn't get lost in the comments. email me: amblus at gmail dot com
