A Few Review Updates.

So, I often review products when I'm still in the honeymoon phase, which seems a bit unfair. I'm fickle and my opinion changes like the wind. Like the wind! So, I thought I'd post a few review updates.

I've had a few people ask me about this recently and I'm happy to say that I still absolutely love my Supersolano. Totally worth every penny and my hair is much less damaged than it was the last time it got to this length. Recently I used a hotel-provided hair dryer (Conair, I think?) and WHAT A PIECE OF GARBAGE. I was very stompy and Veruca Salt about it. Priorities. (But seriously, stop wasting your time with the cheap dryers, especially if you have a lot of hair. This is one of those "you get what you pay for" items.) The amazing deal I got appears to be gone, but this is a really decent price and the ultralite version (which I don't have) is under $100 on Amazon.

I bought this back in November and it's become a solid staple. It has drawbacks (tiny useless brushes, slightly clunky for carrying around) but on the whole I really like the powder/wax combo and it lasts ALL day. I do need a new brush, though, as mine is ancient and looking pretty awful. Any recs? I was thinking maybe this Laura Mercier number

I hate to even review these because they're pretty much gone from the earth (unless you're a size 9 and want them in grey) but man, these are so, so good. Thank you Frye, for making durable, comfortable, interesting ballet flats. I wear these a ton and they just get more comfortable. Even though the studded Emma isn't available anymore, Frye still makes lots of cute flat styles and you can get some good bargains on 6pm. I am thinking about the Carson Stitch Ballet or maybe the Perf Ballet style in blue?

  1. Because of this blog I bought the Supersolano hair dryer - so excellent! Hairdrying time cut almost exactly in half. And much smoother hair, too.

  2. Hmmm.... I don't use a hairdryer, but good to know if I ever do.
I need a curling iron, anyone in LGFTB land have a recommendation?
