Cute Boy Friday: David Bowie Part II

Will you indulge me in a part two of my Bowie love? I appreciate it. So, into the 1990s with David, who wasn't at his musical best (so say) but his hair was on point:



And he got married to a woman way more beautiful than he is, which takes some doing:


He got his teeth fixed, which had to happen but I still have mixed feelings:


And he wore this incredible McQueen coat which I just can't get enough of:


And then he did an amazing thing. He aged gracefully and without fuss:



Ah, David Bowie. There's really just nobody I like better.

    I don't know if you got to see the "David Bowie Is" exhibit, I did and it was amazing! The clothes, the music, the film, a treasure trove of Bowie history inches from your face. I was a fan before, but to see how dense and productive he has been was stunning.

    For whatever reason, that second photo (middle-aged, dark haired shaggy David Bowie) is apparently my kryptonite. I don't even care that he is smoking. Because, obviously, he is SMOKIN'.

    Sigh.

      I did a bit of google - he was about 52 in that picture. I'm turning 50 next month. I am ALL ABOUT THE AGE APPROPRIATE BOWIE!

      (But you know, ol' man Bowie can come on over and sit next to me and tell me stories of his vainglorious youth if he likes - 68 ain't too old for me.)
