Saturday was one of those rainy gross warm days with the kind of humidity that makes my hair freak out. I can spend all kinds of time meticulously making my straight hair even straighter with my awesome new flat iron but ten minutes outside and it looks like this:
I just decided to go with it. I was Saturday casual for an afternoon of running around with Kate and I have to say that my new Madewell Chelsea boots are pretty freaking great. No break-in period at all! I have been wearing them a lot. Here's the outfit without my ubiquitous Downtown Field Jacket:
My utility blouse is Banana Republic from last fall, but they have a couple of really nice options this year. This one is silk and such a pretty color and this one is more casual and looks like a perfect weekend option. Both on sale! If black is more your speed, check out this nicely discounted Two by Vince Camuto version. My distressed jeans are also BR and are still (barely!) on the site. They're my favorite jeans right now. I'm not as crazy about the darker distressed wash version but the price can't be beat.
I feel like I've worn these bits so often lately that I don't need to list them, but I'll do it anyway. I'm wearing Giles and Brother skinny railroad cuff bracelets and my House of Harlow sunburst pendant. My red pavé pendant isn't available anymore but this blue version is amazing (and on sale.) I get compliments every time I wear it.
Ah, the bag. This is my Cambridge Twist Lock satchel and it's been a great addition. Not a bag for ALL my stuff but good for running errands on the weekend. This small pushlock version in the same color is pretty damn cute too. Just saying. I'm a terrible enabler.
Your hair looks great like that. Go with it!
