Adrien: Monday Happens To Everyone.

I had a nice mini-vacation last week (Marianne came to visit!) and then suddenly it was Monday and I was expected to be dressed for work and yeah. Sometimes you just want to be comfortable:

I know, right? Not exactly blog-worthy but that's kind of why I went ahead with it. It's not always about being the cutest version of yourself, sometimes it's about, "How can I wear comfortable pants, and an untucked blouse to work?" Well, you can. Just carry a cute bag and wear some color:

 My pants are from Banana Republic and they have cute moto detail on the knees, kinda like this pair at the Gap. My utility blouse is also Banana Republic and I really like it, so of course they don't make it anymore. This one at LOFT looks awfully good though (so many colors! Under $30!) and they also have an interesting print version. Thank you, LOFT. 

Doesn't the red bag pull this basic mess together? I'm telling you. This one at Yoox is SUCH a good red and it comes in a bigger size too. My bargain pick is this Polo satchel at 6pm.com. I love the dot detail.

It's hard to find a decent purple cardigan (mine is ancient) but this one at Nordstrom looks super comfy and this J.Crew cashmere version looks like something I'd wear relentlessly. I'm also sporting my oversized Cluse watch and House of Harlow mini sunburst necklace. 

Ah, my Chelsea boots! These are from Madewell and are sold out, but their Joanie boot is similar with a bit more heel. If I had my way I'd get this beautiful Everlane pair in a hot second, maybe in the grey or burgundy? Everlane has really expanded lately! I'm pretty crazy about the new Street Ankle Boots too. (Does anyone have a pair? Please do tell.)
