Hey! So I was going to do an outfit today but it's dark and pouring down rain which makes for terrible photos. So, instead I'll be mean and let you know that Anthropologie is currently giving an extra 40% off of sale stuff (in store and also online with code
EXTRA40) which is pretty good! They're usually stingy with codes so definitely take advantage.
First, I tried on the
De Stijl Blouse which I've tried on twice before:
And this is what it looks like on me:
I just can't make up my mind about this one. I love the color and detail but it pulls funny in the shoulders and it's not, like, suuuper flattering on me. Is it too big? I don't know. I keep trying it on but keep not buying it. What is that about? Then I tried on this
Bailey 44 dress which was marked down so much I was suspicious:
Here's what was wrong with it: absolutely nothing. It was so good! It was everything the
Maeve Galena dress should've been. A gorgeous color, long sleeves, simple design and very flattering. I didn't include a dressing room photo because I, uh, forgot to take one, but I'll post an outfit soon.
The last thing I tried on was not on sale but I'd linked to it recently because I thought it was
a cute blouse:
Here's what it looked like on me:
I love the pattern and the mix of materials but I didn't really skim over my hips like it does on the model. (Hmph.) Some of that was because of the security tag, but I still wasn't sold. If it had been part of the sale I'd have been slightly more tempted.
Now, just to be super helpful here are a few more things I like that are definitely part of the sale. First, these plum Rachel Comey boots are just so very good:
And how beautiful is this minimalist cuff bracelet?
And y'all know I love a patterned scarf. This one is an interesting take on houndstooth:
A dress with stripes and long sleeves! You can't go wrong. I'd wear this with thick tights and
cognac boots:
Finally, this isn't quite my style but it's SO cute with the little owl and would make a great wedding or housewarming gift:
