Last weekend, despite NOT NEEDING A THING, I convinced Kate that we should go check out the sale at Anthropologie. I was still thinking about the red Maeve blouse I tried on a million times and they're giving an extra 30% off sale stuff which put it into the range of affordable and I wanted another opinion. Kate approved, the color is great, the Maeve De Stijl blouse is mine:
It's a bit long in the sleeves but I can handle it. I just love how easy and flowy it is and it's washable to boot. They had a bunch of really cute tops on sale including this one that reviewed. I love the print, but it didn't work on me. Kate and I both tried on this funnelneck top which I really liked, but man, I am over winter stuff. I was hoping they'd have this pretty top in my size, but I couldn't find it. Boo. Oh, and the striped turtleneck swing dress is on sale if anyone was looking!
I'm wearing this with my House of Harlow mini sunburst necklace and my Madewell ensign pendant. All the good stuffs. When I bought the blouse I knew I should rein it in a bit with a more structured jacket and I found an abandoned notched Laundry blazer lurking in my closet that I hadn't worn in a year. I am full of shame! It's so good:
Oh my God what is wrong with me. Seriously, this jacket is exactly what the blouse needed. Here's a closer look:
The notched lapel is such a cool detail and keeps the jacket from being too business-y. I have no idea why I haven't worn it for so long but I was so happy with the way this looked that I'll definitely pull it out more often. I can't find my jacket online but this one at LOFT has a very similar look and this one by Halston is really close but in dark grey. I also love this cobalt blue blazer from Mango.
You can't really tell, but I'm wearing my Spanx Jean-Ish leggings which I can't recommend highly enough. They're so much better under boots than skinny jeans. My boots are Loeffler Randall Matilde (buy on eBay!) and the bag I'm carrying up there is a MBMJ Too Hot To Handle Hobo in cement, which you probably already know. Okay then.
LOVE this look! On point, head to toe.
