It's funny, I never thought chambray was quite my style but I am SO into this Old Navy shirt. It's casual, it's soft, it'll be a great layer in the summer to throw over a sundress or tank top or, hell, even over a swimsuit on the way to the pool. I'm definitely considering going back for the darker wash. If Old Navy isn't for you, Madewell has you covered and so does LOFT but the ON version is much less expensive. Just saying.
In case you were wondering if it looks good from the back. Heh. I'm wearing the chambray shirt over a striped slub tee from Banana Republic. This striped tee looks nearly identical and I love the look of this striped tank. Banana doesn't have a slub stripe right now but they do have slub tees in some amazing colors, including this one in cobalt.
Check out the white enameled buttons on my shirt! I love that detail. I'm wearing a Jules Smith resin pendant necklace but I think this similar House of Harlow pendant is super pretty. My bracelets are a Giles and Brother cuff and a pretty sparkly thing that Marianne made for me.
Ah, it's my old MBMJ Mag Bag in Fool's Gold. It's hard to find something similar but this Kate Spade satchel is the most incredible muted gold color! Dang, that's nice. For a slouchier hobo option I think this Joy Susan bag looks more expensive than it is and if subtle isn't your thing you need this Vince Camuto bag. Yes you do. Now, on to shoes:
These are my Lotta From Stockholm red peep toes! I adore them. I have two pairs and I'm considering adding a third, now that they have them in natural leather. I also have a pair of the aubergine t-straps which I wore last week and forgot to mention. Red sandals! Hooray. If your feet say no to wooden soles, get these red Toms sandals instead. Your feet will thank me.
Where are the pants from?
ReplyDeleteSorry! They're the same old black Banana Republic pants I wear pretty often, so I forgot to mention them. They're the Sloan fit but they have some moto detail that's lost in photos. Photos here: http://www.looksgoodfromtheback.com/2014/08/review-banana-republic-fall-collection.html
