Hi guys! I would love to tell you that I wore an awesome pantsuit with a jaunty scarf and something white in support of the suffrage movement to the polls this morning but I don't own a pantsuit so instead I created a little fantasy outfit. This is what I wish I'd worn:
The Democratic Party in Tuscaloosa County Alabama loves your pantsuit and declares you one nasty woman (in the very best way). We're rocking the vote!!!
ReplyDeleteLove! The pantsuit page has brought me so much joy this week.
ReplyDeleteFull support of Pantsuit Nation and all it represents! That said, it's important to remember that the suffragettes who wore white were only concerned with winning the right to vote for white women -- they succeeded in 1920, but women of color didn't get full freedom to vote until the 1960's? The '60's!!! So, yes, rock your pantsuit (I wore a variation to work today) but let's not forget the racism inherent in the suffragettes at the time and the systemic racism that continues.
ReplyDeleteI honestly do not get the bunny ring.
ReplyDeleteNot bunny, donkey. Donkey ears.
DeleteOH! Nevermind :-)
