Outfit of the Day: RTR, Part II

I'm pretty amazed that my first four items from Rent the Runway were hits! I didn't go very far out of my comfort zone, though, so maybe that had something to do with it. I mean, this is an Adrien Dress:

It's also a Diane Von Furstenberg dress and reads purple, but the print is actually red and blue. I love the intensity of the color and it was really comfortable! Beautifully made, heavy knit but not itchy or saggy. I'm wearing a medium and it fit pretty well. I'd never tried a DVF knit dress before and I wish I could keep it. When I was searching for it I also found this black knit DVF which looks really good and this striped number that's kind of amazing.

I knoooowww, right? Just my kind of thing. It's hard to find a similar flared sweater dress but this one at Boden looks pretty good and this one at Target has all the stripes. This cute dress has a similar colorway and I also like this one with the zig zag print because I'm a weirdo about prints.

Oh yeah, I still have the VEDA Jayne jacket. I'll send it back once I get my next leather jacket to try. In the meantime, if you have the Madewell ultimate or washed leather jacket, will you let me know if you love it or hate it or have a better suggestion? I'm still in my research phase for my Forever Jacket.

Not so much with it fastened up - it's definitely too small for this nonsense is what my face is saying. Details:

Woof, I love the saturated color! So good. I'm keeping things simple with my two My Precious Studio necklaces. Go get some silver wings, you guys! They're great.

Surprise, I still haven't switched out my bag. I used to switch out my bag multiple times per week and now I'm just like, "Grey goes with everything." I'M THE WORST STYLE BLOGGER. WHAT AM I EVEN DOING HERE. It's a good bag, though. This one is too, I'm guessing. My boots are Madewell Lucien and they're pretty similar to the current Alicia style boot.

That's it! I'll try to incorporate more of my rental fanciness in upcoming outfits.

  1. I highly recommend looking into the Treasure & Bond quilted leather jacket (Nordstrom, $299)! I looked forever, considered the Madewell options but passed b/c the leather was either too thick or too thin and the sleeves were always too long. This one has no belt (which I think adds bulk) and can look a little strange opened, I think. Plus, the metals on this are muted, so it goes perfectly well with any gold/silver accessories. It really feels like a timeless moto option and the price isn't too terrible!

    1. I pretty much have my heart set on a traditional motorcycle jacket but I'll definitely check it out. Thanks!

  2. Are you trying the RTR Unlimited or RTR Update (the one with only 4 rentals a month or unlimited?) I just signed up for RTR Update but am wondering if I would use the unlimited!

    1. I’m doing the unlimited plan. I don’t know if it’s worth it because item return/ship takes a while.
