Stuff I Like: October Edition.

It's October and time for another "Stuff I Like" post! This one isn't really October themed, just a collection of stuff we've been liking lately. Here we go:

This Podcast That Is Required GBBS Listening.
If you listen to This Is Joy and Claire you already know about this, but they're now doing a weekly Great British Baking Show podcast called, On Your Marks, Get Set, Bake! It's just funny commentary about the new season (hooray!) on Netflix. Also, Claire is baking the technical challenge every week along with the contestants, so that's fun. And, personally, I can't do one more podcast about politics or murder, so I'm really happy to have this in my feed.

These Cheap And Cheerful Snake Earrings.
This is Marianne's contribution! She bought these little snek huggie earrings recently and every time she wears them it makes me all wanty, so I bought a pair too. Gold plated and under $12? Sold. She says they're super comfortable even when she sleeps in them. Also, if you're one of those monsters who does all their holiday shopping early, these would make a fun gift!

This (post) WWII Novel About Australian Women.
Y'all know I'm a sucker for women-during-WWII novels and I just finished one that I really liked - The Ship of Brides by Jojo Moyes. Technically this story takes place after the war but it involves real events I knew nothing about. After the war ended, 650 (amazingly brave) Australian war brides traveled for six weeks on an aircraft carrier bound for England and their new lives. It follows the stories of four different women and is loosely based on Jojo Moyes's grandmother, who was a real-life Australian war bride. Historical fiction is my favorite because I like to learn stuff, but mostly I just love a good story.

These Running Socks That Are So Extra.
Y'all know I'm a big fan of Bombas socks and earlier this year I bought a pair of the fancy Performance Running socks. They're...next level. They hug your foot, never slip down, and even have articulated R and L shaping for your precious toes, so there's no extra sock to get in the way. I only have one pair but it's always the first pair I reach for when I'm going for a walk or run. Also, the colorways are insane. If you've never tried Bombas and want 25% off your first order, my referral link will make that happen. (Full disclosure, I also get sock credit!)

These Cute Matches You Definitely Need.
A lot of you bought that Amazon candle I recommend last month (I hope you love it!) and I wanted to also recommend my very favorite cute matches to go with it but it looks like they're not on the Target website anymore. Ugh. In their place, I am going to recommend these adorable matches which are the longer kind so you won't burn your fingers. Why shouldn't matches be cute? Also! I bought this Opalhouse Bonfire Embers candle and it's not quite as good as the Amazon candle, but it's another nice fall candle option that won't break the bank.
