Hello! Perhaps you didn't know it but the boots of your youth are back in a big way. Lace-up and combat boot styles are everywhere and there are some really good ones out there. I don't always love it when the styles I wore in the 90s swing back around but I'm very much okay with this. Here we go:
LOVE those Frye boots!
ReplyDeleteI recently bought the Kellie Lace-Up Boot from Madewell and I really like them.
Oh, those Docs are so good in the green.
ReplyDeleteThose green Docs have my heart (and my money too if I fold :)
ReplyDeleteI bought a pair of platform Docs. My boys asked me if I was going emo -- to which I replied, "I was emo before it was a thing, thank you very much!" -- but the first outing with them, I was complimented by both a 20-something and a 50-something, and even the teenager had to admit they looked cool.
ReplyDeleteYep, they are timeless and cool.
DeleteI have the platform Leona Docs in black and could not love them more if I tried. Recently bought a pair of white Docs for my teen. We don't wear them at the same time or she might actually die of embarrassment.
ReplyDeleteHahahaha. Docs are for everyone!
DeleteStory for those who will relate: in peak 90s fashion, at the tender age of 15, I wanted a pair of docs to wear with a flowery dress like all the cool girls were wearing. I had the money saved up, so it was not a question of affording them or not. But MY MOTHER*, refused to let me buy them. Her reasoning? The boots were very unlady-like and military, and I would look like a fool. So I never bought them. UNTIL LAST WEEK. 27 YEARS LATER. Because I am a grown woman, and I can buy whatever shoe I feel like buying.
ReplyDelete*To this day my sweet mom swears she never did that, and that I could have bought them if I wanted them. Thanks mom. *eyeroll*
